In January, our principal asked us to explore the option of Chugach Optional becoming an ASD charter school. In order to complete a feasibility assessment and present information necessary for the community to fully understand what becoming a charter would mean for Chugach, the CEC formed a Charter Exploration Committee. This committee was tasked with investigating key questions focused on financial, legal, academic and operational viability.
The CEC is hosting a special Community Assembly Meeting (CAM) on Wednesday, April 29, from 6-7:30 p.m. in our library to hear from our Charter Exploration Committee on what they have learned, as well as collect and answer questions and feedback from our community. Childcare will be provided in the gym.
