Community Projects and Events
Let’s celebrate the season with games and other activities at this community event. This year, we’re moving the event outdoors! Sip some cider, bob for apples, and enjoy fall at Chugach.

One of Chugach’s biggest events and our primary fundraiser, the auction is also a great reason to get a babysitter and have a night out! Bid on silent auction items, raise a paddle for the live auction, and buy raffle tickets to win a front-row parking spot.

Families are invited to our outdoor winter celebration. This is an opportunity to celebrate our community, light up our winter season, and enjoy the fun that winter can bring. The evening includes outdoor winter activities, cozy firepits, live music, hot cocoa and popcorn, food trucks, and fun!

Art Night is a fundraiser to support our sister school in Malawi. Art (painting, jewelry, photography, pottery, etc.) is donated by the Chugach community for the silent auction. Students participate by creating individual art pieces in their family group.

Are you an Upper student curious about the transition from Chugach to middle school? If so, Alumni Night is the event for you. And who knows best how the transition from Chugach to middle school goes than the kids who are doing it now! Join us to hear from former Chugach students who are now attending a variety of middle schools in our district. They will share their experiences and answer questions that current Chugach students and parents may have.
Science Share | Tuesday, Feb. 19, 5:30-7 p.m. | Chugach Multipurpose Room & Hallway
Science Share is our non-competitive Science Fair that challenges students to practice the scientific method through their own experiment and share their findings with our Chugach community. All students are invited to participate by completing a science project and meeting a Science Mentor on Science Share night. While completing a science project is an expectation for fifth and sixth graders, Science Share is open to all grades and all types and levels of projects are encouraged! For more information, please visit our Science Share page: https://www.asdk12.org/Page/15069

Students are invited to share a special talent or performance with the Chugach community. Previous performances have included comedy skits, magic tricks, gymnastics, dancing, singing, and playing musical instruments.
For one day, parents and family members create and lead classes for students to choose and enjoy. This is a chance to provide an enriching experience and build community with our students. Past mini courses include sushi making, sculpting, dance, yoga, ice fishing, birding, baking, Lego robotics, biking, hockey, science experiments, and a Harry Potter-themed Hogwarts experience.

The Memory Book is our annual school yearbook. Parents and students work throughout the year to take and collect pictures and assemble the book, and the book is published the last month of school.
